About Us

Pillar of Hope is a registered Scottish charitable organisation (SC052720) that was established to alleviate the sufferings of vulnerable teenagers, young and old adults because of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantages in our community. Pillar of Hope is a charity set up to proactively provide free support services to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable people in need (both young and old); where there are concerns of social, physical, and mental health disadvantages such as poverty, self-neglect, social isolation, loneliness, unkempt living environment, difficulty engaging with services, and evidence that risks are escalating. Being in need comes in many shapes and forms and people face several challenges that take an extensive toll on their physical health, mental well-being, and finances. A person’s life can be completely changed in just a few short months as the situation progresses.

Volunteer

Pillar of Hope as a non-profit organization is mainly propelled through volunteers. Our volunteers willingly sacrifice their time, energy, and money for the betterment of our service users which is a good cause in all aspects. All our volunteers, including mentors, and befrienders are highly appreciated for the awesome work you do daily to support our service users in the communities.

Fundraising

Pillar of Hope needs your assistance to fundraise and bring joy and happiness back into the lives of disadvantaged young people and adults. Every little effort you contribute towards fundraising has a huge impact on the process and we would love to add you to our team of supporters.

We continually source funds to provide immediate support services for individuals struggling to meet their daily needs in the communities. We look for grants, private donors, organisations and other sources of funding to build the resources needed to fund these efforts. Together we can work towards alleviating the increasing problems facing this group of individuals using our services and make a difference in the community.

We encourage everyone to go fundraising to support us in raising funds for achieving our noble purpose of helping those in physical and mental well-being need, vulnerable, socially isolated, and lonely in our communities.

There are so many fun ways to fundraise on behalf of Pillar of Hope:

Host a quiz night.

Hold a sponsored swim.

Wear fancy dress to work.

Organize a sporting tournament.

Corporate Networking Events.

POH will be hosting a range of corporate events to help in carrying out our mission. Corporate networking events will provide fantastic opportunities for networking, team building, mental stimulation, fundraising, and good fun entertainment. Events are to be announced at the appropriate times.
